Knowing your learning style can be extremely helpful as it will give you ideas on how you should be studying. Knowing what type of learning styles suit you means that you can do a bit of research on your particular learning style in order to ensure that you get the most you can out of your learning. There are several different types of learning styles including visual, aural, verbal, physical, logical, social and solitary. Each of these learning styles has their own unique ways of learning. It is important to know what your learning style is and how to make the most out of it.

I took the test on This website in order to find out my learning styles. I found this website to be very helpful in finding out my learning styles. This website also has very good information on each of the learning styles which can help you find the right way for you to learn.
My main learning styles are aural at 12, visual at 10 and solitary, verbal and physical each at 9. Knowing this will help me learn as I can research the best learning techniques for each of these categories. My main learning technique is aural; therefore I know that I learn best by listening to others and using music while studying. I would agree with this as I always listen to music while studying as it helps me to concentrate. I also like to be talked through topics in order to understand them. Knowing that my main learning technique is aural will help me as I know that I must listen to music in order to get the most out of my learning. Knowing that I am also a visual learner I know that I can use mind maps and to try to use different colored text and pictures where I can. I also know that solitary, verbal and physical techniques play a lot in my learning; this tells me that I like to work on my own; I also like to use words when studying and like to use my hands and learn by using actions. Now I know my learning styles, I can read information on each of them in order to get the most out of my learning.
Taking each of my learning styles into consideration, I learn best by working on my own while listening to music, using colours to distinguish pieces of information will also help me to remember what I am reading. I also need to talk through the notes in order to understand them, whether it is with someone else or going over the words by myself. Using words as well as pictures will allow me to understand the topic better, using relevant pictures to the information which I am studying in order to link the words to a visual description. Putting information into rhymes and rhythms when studying a topic will help my verbal learning style as it will help me memorize the information quicker when it is in this format.
Using all of this information, I feel like I will be able to make the most out of my learning in the future. I can use all this information on each learning style in order to help me remember the information and to revise different topics.
